Currently, when a workflow triggers user information inquiry (i.e. asking for email before continuing), it only appears in the messenger widget and doesn’t appear in the inbox conversation view.
This can make it seem like the bot has frozen or stopped responding, creating confusion for both support reps and customers.
To improve transparency, the system should display an event or status message in the conversation thread indicating that a user information inquiry is in progress.
This will help customer support reps understand that the bot is actively waiting for or retrieving data, not unresponsive.
Example:
System event: “Fetching user information (email, company name)…”
This small visibility enhancement would improve the support experience and reduce uncertainty during live interactions.
