Micro-tasks for Inbox chats

Solution

Internal Note style micro-tasks that can be created and set as completed.

Tasks will stay visible/ easily accessible while chat progresses and can be checked as completed.

Maybe there’s a better solution that I’ve came up with - or hybrid solution with Internal Notes?

Example tasks

- Migrate customers Help Center from anywhere to here

- Find out what is your favorite color and inform the customer about it

- Investigate the customer issue - Button does not seem to like when clicked

Why?

When communicating with the users, there might come up some actions that are time sensitive, cannot be done immediately, but aren’t large enough to be a Post - which means that the task can either added as an internal note or as a feedback post.

However:

If the task is marked as an internal note and the chat progresses, it might get lost within the chat.

If the task is marked as a Post, then it might not be easily tracked when user has feature requests or other feedback provided.

Additionally there might be more than one task per chat, which means tracking multiple internal notes within somewhere the chat can become quite cumbersome
