Auto-assign post creator as assignee

I want to be able to automatically assign myself (or the team member creating the post) as the assignee when creating a post on behalf of a customer. Currently, I have to manually select the assignee in the creation popup. This is important because the customer is the author, but the team member who creates it should be the one responsible for it.
