Dynamic variable fields

General

Support dynamic fields such as {first_name}, etc around Featurebase:

  • Workflows - can create personalized workflows

  • Macros - would be super powerful to have dynamic macros

  • Changelog - can create a personalized intro

  • Surveys - can create a personalized survey

  • Links - always show the right link based on attribtues

  • etc,

This would allow for much more advanced and personalized communication.

    Hey everyone! Super excited to roll out dynamic variables across Featurebase.


    Dynamic variables let you personalize messages by dynamically inserting customer data, such as their first_name.

    You can use dynamic variables in:

    • Message templates and macros

    • Workflows

    • Changelogs

    • Surveys

    This should provide a lot more flexibility in personalizing messages for your team! :)

    Support for Dynamic Links in Changelog Posts - Based on user data

    I need to add dynamic links to changelog posts.

    Our in-app links are different for some customers, and I would like to use variables (e.g., {{CUSTOM customer_domain_url}}, {{domain}}) within the changelog content, similar to how it's possible in platforms like GetResponse or Appcues.

    In short - customer based data linking.

    Another example of a possible Changelog link

    “Checkout the new profile settings for {{user.customFields.profileSettingsUrl}} “

    Which would allow users to get a direct link to their settings based on the value with customFields.

    [Macro+AI] Dynamic macros

    Solution

    Allow using macros as prompts with chat context to generate a message draft for response.

    Scenario

    Currently macros are static, but to turbocharge the usability - dynamic macro could act as a prompt for AI to generate a response.

    Preset macro as a prompt + AI response generation with chat context = more productivity
