Easier bulk merging of posts

Currently, you can bulk merge posts by selecting the posts except the one to merge to, select “Merge into”, type your post name (which you have to remember), wait for the search query to load (takes some time)…

The post that I want to merge it to is in most cases already in my view. Would be nice if I could just select all the posts that are similar, select something like “Merge together”, then choose which of the selected posts to merge it into (by default the one with most upvotes).

So let’s say we have post A, B and C and I want to merge A&B into C.

Current flow:

  1. Select A & B

  2. Click “Merge into”

  3. Type the name of C, wait… oops the name was spelled incorrectly.. close dialog start again…

  4. Select C, done.

Desired flow:

  1. Select A, B & C

  2. Click “Merge together”
Prompt “Which one to merge it to?” > Select C (autoselected because most upvotes)

  3. Done :)

Would save a lot of time and frustration.
