Full screen alternatives to modals

The area where the user can actually type the content for a new post is pretty small compared to the amount of space wasted. I'm proposing that you offer an option to allow the user to navigate to a full-page version of the editor to give them more space to work.

As I was typing this I now realise that the box expands as I type, but it still feels quite confining.

Similarly, when opening a feedback post I expect it to navigate me to a full-screen view of that feedback, rather than a (what feels like) preview of the post. Don't get me wrong, the agility of being able to view the content of a post in a modal is great, but when I want to dive into it I want to be able to use all of the screen real estate available to me.
