More Flexible Roadmap

I'm finding that user submitted bug reports and features are not necessarily the right granularity for our roadmap. I want our roadmap to be a high level overview of what we're planning in the coming months, but not necessarily the exact feature requests that were submitted by users.

I think my ideal solution here would look like this:
- Create high level umbrella items that are indicated to be roadmap items
- Be able to nest/associate user submitted items to the larger project
- Be able to customize the roadmap to sort/filter by custom tags. This way instead of being fixed to kanban quarterly view, I could tag items with "short term" "long term" or whatever else I want.

Anyways - the core problem here is that the items in our boards !== the level of detail we would want to have in our roadmap
