Survey automatically repeat after X time

Hi,

For the NPS survey feature it would be great to be able to automatically show the survey again after X months (or weeks/etc.) to keep track of the NPS trends. :)

    Hey everyone,

Repeatable surveys are now live as part of the new Outbound product!

You can now create an NPS survey and have it show again after a set amount of time, for example once every 90 days, so you can keep tracking NPS trends over time without manually recreating or resending the survey.

Outbound also gives you a lot more control over targeting. You can:

    • Repeat surveys after a custom delay, like every X days or weeks

    • Send once, on a fixed schedule, or every time someone matches your rules

    • Target surveys by customer attributes, company attributes, and custom field combinations

    • Trigger surveys based on specific URLs, time on page, or CSS matches

    • Limit sending to office hours, custom time windows, start dates, and stop dates

    • Build multi-step survey logic, like asking for open-text feedback when someone gives a low NPS score

The surveys also support historical analytics so you can compare results over time. This should make it much easier to run ongoing NPS programs.

You can get started from Dashboard → Outbound → New Message.

    Enjoy! :)

This is essential for NPS surveying, to the point that I assumed it was there: we were mid-process rolling out NPS surveys with Featurebase but now I’m not sure how to proceed without this feature.

Our use-case: We would like to poll every user quarterly on NPS, but distributed across our userbase evenly throughout the quarter so every week we have a few hundred responses after polling several thousand users. That logic looks really difficult for us to hack with the current tools available to us. 🥺

Any update on this, what does “planned” mean? ETA was 3 months ago and comments below even says “Q2”

Not only would running the surveys at an interval be helpful, but it would also be great to see metrics over time such as NPS from month to month.

Being able to follow trends absolutely makes sense. This way we can see how we get better through iteration. Clear “up” :)

That feature would be super useful for us!

We have CSAT and CES surveys across the platform on different modules. We want to measure the performance of those metrics on a monthly basis to understand how we improve: we need a way to set up recurring surveys, showing up the survey to users that didn’t reply, every 30 days.

Without this and the ability to filter out on users based on their activity (which Rudderstack events they triggered in the past), unfortunately the survey feature is not useful for us.

We are currently using Appcues for this use case, but the surveys are not looking good, and they provide an analytics view.

Hey @Alex, thanks a ton for the feedback, we’re leveling up all our modules step-by-step to support more advanced use cases like this.

The features highlighted in your comment will definitely be part of the next major update we make to surveys. A rough eta would be sometime in Q2, but probably will be even earlier as we’re rapidly expanding our team.

Any update here? We need to switch our NPS survey software by the end of June and I would love to be able to have this in Featurebase. We need weekly samples of NPS responses spread across each quarter.

    Hey @Tom

Thanks for the post! Approving it so others can show their interest as well.

I’m curious how big of a pain point this is for you at the moment and what intervals you would be using.
