Separate Comments from Merged Posts

I believe that the separating of comments from merged could be done a lot better, at the moment they are only marked by the small icon which is pretty much unclear and for a new visitor it is almost impossible to understand that some of the comments are not for the original post. I think that it would be better if comments were separated into two categories (or more if there is more than one merged post): the original post comments and merged posts comments. I will leave a quick sketch below.

    Hey!

    Thanks for the feedback, I certainly agree.

    We thought about implementing it in this way before as well, but the problem with it is that when the posts are sorted by "most liked", then multiple posts that were merged from another might not be next to each other in the comment thread since they have a different number of likes.

    This makes drawing lines between the merged comments a bit more difficult if we want to merge them in the existing chain and keep the sorting system working as intended.

    We'll think about this more in the coming days to come up with a better solution than the current one.

    I'll drop another message here as we decide on the approach we want to take to hear your feedback on it as well. 🙂
