Show the original post author in the merged post comment

The merged post should show the original author here instead of the admin that merged the post. It’s important to not lose context…

Right now there’s no way to know who created the merged post without having to unmerge it.

    The merged post will now show the original author of the post in the comment. The admin who merged will still be shown but smaller.

    P.S. The merged post now also opens as a popup instead of in a new tab. :)

    I would not only like to see the original poster, but I would also like the ability to make it public so that it shows up like a public comment.

    I often find myself copying and pasting the original post into a comment on behalf of the original poster.

    When I merge posts together, everything gets tagged in the comments but the important part that is missing for me there is reference to the user who actually posted it.

    Appreciate they get added as an upvote but often want to be able to quickly see exactly who said what without having to jump back to the original post link
