We are experiencing the exact same issue, and it is extremely frustrating for both our internal support team and our users.
Although the entire system is configured in German, the AI frequently responds in English, especially when queries are short or keyword-based. This creates a very inconsistent user experience and significantly reduces usability in a localized environment.
In addition, the search quality itself is quite poor. Even when searching for very specific keywords that are clearly present in the articles—sometimes even explicitly used in H2 or H3 headings—the system often fails to return relevant results. This makes it unnecessarily difficult for users to find the information they need.
From our perspective, both topics need urgent improvement:
Strict adherence to the selected language/locale
Significantly better handling of keyword-based search (especially exact matches in structured content like headings)
These issues have a direct impact on user satisfaction and trust in the system.
