Help Center SEO improvements

Even better SEO optimization for the Help Center module.

  • Better Lighthouse Score for Help Center

  • Sitemap seems to be blocking crawlers - even when org access is public

    • When bots try to scan the Help Center (which is public), then they get a response of 403

    Hey everyone,

Good news! We've just pushed an update that adds support for Schema.org annotations. This should help your Help Center articles get indexed much faster and improve their visibility in search results. It's available out-of-the-box for all help centers now.

Same here - we are on the top plan and I am trying to implement a custom solution in our AI chat to be able to answer from articles in the help centre (via Exa API) - however it seems like it is blocked by crawlers/search APIs. Any idea how to enable SEO for help articles?

    Something to also consider:

We are currently evaluating Featurebase as an option to host our customer help/knowledge base and are thus also looking at SEO support in the product.

With the test articles I published I noticed that there is a robots meta tag with noindex which would prevent indexing by search engines thus limiting (potential) customers from finding our knowledge base over e.g. Google.

      Hey David,

      Thanks for reaching out!

The noindex tag is active on your knowledge base because you're currently on our free plan. To prevent spam, we only enable search engine indexing for workspaces on our paid plans.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

        Hi Bruno,

Thanks! That explains it and is totally understandable.
