Quick links for customer attributes – dynamically link to other tools from the Inbox

It would be great to be able to see and have dynamic links on the user attribute tab, based on the user you’re talking with.

Some examples of what we’d like to do:

  • Link to a customer’s Stripe billing profile using their email or user ID.

  • Open a customer-specific Retool dashboard with pre-filled query parameters.

  • etc.

This would help admins quickly access relevant external tools without manually looking things up.

    On Zendesk, we use an addon for this feature. It’s definitely something we’d miss if we switched over to featurebase. Just for reference, the Zendesk addon we use for this is here:

    • Link to a customer’s Stripe billing profile using their email or user ID.

    Ideally there would be even more options for linking rather than just email or user id. What we’d really like a way to link via a custom metadata field called “orgid” that we’d keep on both the featurebase side (as a

    customFields on the company model) and the stripe side (as an orgid metadata item on the customer records). That orgid field would then be used as the lookup key to pull the corresponding customer from stripe.
