Terminology Mapping for Automatic AI translations

Featurebase currently supports Protected terms (Don't translate list) for Automatic AI translations. This is useful for the Brand name, but it does not support localization requirements where our product specific terms must be mapped to specific translations. For example English(Source language) "Setup" must always be "Inrichting" in Dutch and "Einrichtung" in German.

At this point, we have to manually post-edit AI translations to ensure they match our software’s terms. It creates a bottleneck for documentation specialists and risks confusing end-users when the documentation uses different terms than the product itself.

We already have an extensive terminology table for multiple languages that we would like to use for this.

Desired functionality

  • Source -> Target Language table to support relational mapping.

  • Ability to upload existing terminology into the table.

  • AI translations prioritize these specific mappings over its own default translations.
