Bulk export support conversations for analysis
We’d need the ability to bulk export multiple chat conversations to analyze trends, identify frequently asked questions, and understand inquiries related to specific modules.
This would allow for better insights into customer interactions and product areas.

PinnedHey! We’re marking this as completed because Featurebase now gives you 4 different ways to export or analyze support Conversations, depending on what you need!
1. Export structured data from Reports
Use chart exports and drill-in to download the Conversations behind a specific metric, or create a dataset export with your own date range, filters, and columns.
Chart and drill-in exports support up to 10,000 rows. Dataset exports support up to 100,000 rows and can be scheduled for recurring delivery.
These CSV exports contain structured reporting data rather than message transcripts.
2. Analyze Conversations with our MCP
You can connect the Featurebase MCP to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and other AI tools to analyze your support data through natural language.
This is often the fastest option when the goal is insight rather than a file. You can ask it to group Conversations by contact reason, identify recurring problems, summarize trends, compare customer segments, or investigate a specific topic without first building and processing a CSV export.
3. Build a custom export with the API
The Featurebase API lets you list, search, and retrieve Conversations and Tickets programmatically. This is the most flexible option when you need a custom format, want to combine Featurebase data with another system, or need the complete Conversation content.
4. Download individual Conversation or Ticket transcripts
When you need the actual message chronology, open the Conversation or Ticket in the Inbox, click the three-dot menu, and select ‘Download transcript’. This downloads the visible transcript as a text file.
One separate workflow is not included here: selecting hundreds or thousands of Conversations in the Inbox and downloading every transcript as an individual PDF.
We’ve created a dedicated request for that functionality. If you still need native bulk Inbox transcript exports, please upvote Bulk Conversations export as PDFs →

We’d need to export support conversations to analyse them. We’d need to drag and drop fields to go together with them:
Attribute
Message (of the first contact)
Email
Other conversation attributes
other user details / attributes
