Overview

Create separate Messengers for each brand with unique logos, colors, and domains. This lets you support multiple products or companies from a single Featurebase workspace while keeping Messenger consistent for each brand.

Note: This is available only on the Enterprise plan

Get started

1

Create multiple brands

  1. Go to Settings → Workspace → Branding

  2. Click 'Add brand'

  3. Enter a name, upload a logo, and choose the brand color

  4. Click 'Create brand'

Connect the brand's Help Center from the brand picker in Help Center settings. Choose its notification sender in Settings → Workspace → Email sending.

  • You can attach one help center to multiple brands e.g. if you have a help center with parent company branding that represents all brands equally.

  • For instances where you don't need a help center aligned to a particular brand, we recommend creating a new blank help center and leaving it in the 'not live' state (this is the default status for newly created help centers).

  • Read more & learn to set up multi-brand Help Centers: Create & manage multiple Help Centers

2

Add each brand's websites

The Messenger picks its brand from the website it loads on. Add the domains for each brand:

  1. Go to Settings → Workspace → Branding and open the brand

  2. Under Messenger websites, click 'Add domain' and enter the domain

Changes save automatically. You can also add domains when you create the brand, or at the top of the Messenger Installation tab with the brand selected.

  • example.com matches example.com and www.example.com

  • app.example.com matches only that subdomain

  • *.example.com matches example.com and all its subdomains

  • Enter the domain only, without https://, a port, or a page path. Different pages on one domain can't use different brands.

  • An exact domain wins over a wildcard, and a longer wildcard wins over a shorter one

  • Each domain can belong to only one brand

Important: If no domain matches, the Messenger uses your default brand, with that brand's Help Center and email branding. Add a new brand's domains before you install the Messenger on its website. Existing conversations keep the brand they started with.

3

Customize the Messenger for each brand

Customize the Messenger to match each brand:

  1. Go to Settings → Support channels → Messenger

  2. Select the brand in the picker at the top

  3. Customize the Messenger to match that brand by following this guide

Customizing Messenger widget for each brand.

Notes:

  • Make sure you've connected your Messenger style to the correct brand and Help Center to show the correct support content in the Messenger.

  • Selectively turning Help Centers on / off per brand is currently not available. If you don't want to publish Help Center content for a specific brand, simply connect this brand to a Help Center that isn't live.

How Messenger appears

In the Messenger

With multi-brand Messenger styles, the Inbox shows which brand the message came for.

When the Messenger loads on a domain:

  • It automatically applies the matching brand style

  • The Messenger position follows the selected style settings

When a conversation starts, you can see the active brand in the Inbox under conversation attributes.

In email notifications

For conversations started in the Messenger:

  • Emails appear as: <Teammate name> from <Brand name>

  • Emails are branded based on the matched domain

Note:

  • Multi-brand email branding only applies to conversations started in the Messenger

  • It does not apply to inbound email conversations

In Fibi AI Agent answers

Fibi AI Agent answers from the Help Center connected to the conversation's brand. Everything else Fibi uses, such as Files, Websites, and Q&A in training data, applies to every brand.

FAQ

You can customize all visual appearance, including colors, logos, header names, tabs, and background images for each brand's Messenger.

You can also customize the Header Name:
