AI search answers

Instead of sending users to read lengthy articles, you can give them quick, helpful answers (with illustrations & clickable references) straight from the search bar.
Good to know:
It automatically works in different languages
It’s always automatically up to date
It uses information only from the articles to which the user has access. This ensures that your end-users won’t access your private articles.
In-app widget

Bring support & knowledge articles directly into your app with our Messenger Widget. This allows users to access help content, support agents, and updates without leaving your site or product. Learn to set it up: Messenger Installation
Good to know: You can also only have it show your help articles (no support or live chat functions)
Customizations

The Help Center features a beautiful, customizable design that automatically adapts to your organization's theme and is optimized for usability.
You can also serve your Help Center from your own domain (e.g. help.yourcompany.com) to maintain brand consistency.

Intuitive text editor

Our Help Center comes with an intuitive and powerful text editor that offers a wide range of formatting options and custom components for better content presentation. You can use them with the / symbol for easy access.
The editor supports native video and image uploads, embedded YouTube links, code blocks, and everything else a modern editor would have.
Integrated with your feedback portal

The help center is seamlessly integrated with your feedback portal, roadmap, and updates. For example, Featurebase suggests relevant articles to your users during post-creation. This works in widgets as well.
You can also mention help articles while answering feedback, in Updates releases, and more.
Privacy controls

You can control exactly who can view your Help Center and its articles:
Only authenticated users (stop competitors from spying)
Only teammates (for internal knowledge base)
Only certain customer segments
Limit access to only specific articles
And much more. You can read all about it from here: Help Center privacy controls
Analytics

It’s important to know how your content is performing so you know how to improve it.
From the Help Center analytics, you’ll see article reactions, what’s popular, which articles are helpful, and most importantly, which articles need improving.
FAQ
Does the help center have a sitemap.xml for SEO?
Does the help center have a sitemap.xml for SEO?
Yes! Featurebase’s Help Center includes a sitemap.xml that lists all your articles.
You can access it by adding /sitemap.xml to the end of your help center’s custom domain. Example: https://help.featurebase.app/sitemap.xml
Good to know:
This only works if you’ve set up a custom domain for your Help Center.
Since the Feedback portal has a separate custom domain, you’ll have a separate sitemap for it as well (e.g. https://feedback.featurebase.app/sitemap.xml)
Why does my Help Center have a no-index tag?
Why does my Help Center have a no-index tag?
The noindex tag is active on the Help Center & Feedback Portal if you’re on our free plan. To prevent spam, we only enable search engine indexing on our paid plans.
Why are there no articles in my help center’s sitemap.xml?
Why are there no articles in my help center’s sitemap.xml?
Sitemaps are cached for 15 minutes - your changes may not show up immediately. Furthermore, we don’t create help center sitemaps for the feedback portal. Make sure you’re using the Help Center custom domain for the sitemap to be created.
You can double check that you’ve set up the custom domain correctly if its present on the help center custom domain page, and not the portal custom domain page.
